Rugged Tooling

Rugged Tooling was founded in 2010 in Oulu, Finland. Our founders are a group of software and hardware engineers with a working history in the telecom and testing industry. Our main office is located in Oulu, Finland and we have a sales office in Helsinki. The company has grown steadily and now employs a team of several enthusiastic professionals. We create high-precision tools for IP network and cybersecurity monitoring, validation and testing.  Rugged Tooling aims to improve the overall security, robustness, and quality of IP based services.

Our Philosophy

The ideas for our products grew from the vast experience and insights the founding team members had gathered in their careers, working in numerous IP-related product projects. They saw a need for tools in demanding environments, that require high precision and accurate repeatability. Based on this insight, our R&D has developed our tools have been built to be easily modified to suit your needs.

In-built security

We build our tools using only our own code in industry-grade computers. This means our system is not PC-based, has no operating system and no open-source code. For these reasons, the tools do not have backdoors in either software or hardware. Last but not least, our own team in Oulu has developed all of our code, which means we know each and every line of code in our tools.
